Zuckerberg Announced Three New Features In India which will bring extra features to its ‘Stories’ along with an option for its users to share audio posts on the social media platform. The Stories centric feature work very similar to those seen on the Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform Instagram. The updates announced by Zuckerberg that include a save Stories choice, Voice posts, and even a Stories archive to let users keep their Facebook Stories for the longer term. As per Facebook, the new updates are rolled out to its Indian users within the coming weeks. Here may be a look at what is new on Facebook’s plate now.

Save Photos and Videos for later

Facebook Users now able to save the photos and videos they capture from the Facebook camera. where only they’ll see them once they log into their Facebook account. This permits people to save lots of the photos and videos they capture while not taking up space on their phone. It can even be used to save photos that users may wish to share later.

Facebook says that a research conducted by them discovered that several people need to delete photographs from their phone before they take a new one. To avoid this, Facebook is going to be rolling out the save stories to feature on Facebook app for Android devices. Facebook has not announced the arrival of the update on iOS or FB lite.

Voice Post

As per Facebook, It is a great deal for People to connect through audio. In fact, people were using artistic workarounds to share through audio by recording their camera with their finger once taking a video and simply recording the audio to share. The new update by Facebook includes ‘Voice posts’ that lets users share audio within the moment while not having to share a photograph or video. this might additionally facilitate those that cannot essentially write within the language they want to share it

Facebook claims that the voice post feature is ‘optimized for low network conditions’. A voice post on Stories is limited to a period of twenty seconds. There is, however, presently no limit for a voice post that’s shared to News Feed, however, the recording time is restricted by the native storage on the user’s device.

Stories Archive

In addition to the Save Stories feature, Facebook also will be rolling out ‘Stories Archive’ which is able to permit Facebook users to save their shared Stories on the platform for the long run. As per Facebook, the feature can permit users to avoid wasting Stories that contain ‘special moments value saving’ in an archive for viewing anytime within the future, not like the traditional Stories that disappear among twenty-four hours from an account

Facebook will also permit users to reshare Stories kept in archive either as a post or within the Stories format. To archive Stories, users should have auto-archive enabled.
